This relaxation has come after the district administration withdrew the mandatory requirement of COVID-19 negative report for entry into the 12th-century shrine. <br /><br />While the Puri residents were allowed entry for darshan between 6 -7 AM today, darshan for devotees from outside Puri started from 7 AM. As per the decision by the temple authorities, public darshan will not be allowed on Sundays.<br /><br />Special arrangements have been made to facilitate darshan for 30,000 devotees every day. Facilities have been put in place to ensure smooth darshan by senior citizens and differently-abled persons.<br />Mandatory thermal screening of the devotees will be done at the entry point and those displaying symptoms will not be allowed to enter the temple. <br /><br />To manage the large gathering, security has been tightened in Puri.
